This Privacy Policy explains how Rulane: VPN & Network Tools ("the Application") handles Your information. The Application is a local network utility. Its VPN, proxy configuration, log analysis and AI features all run on Your Device. The Company does not operate any server that receives Your network traffic, and does not collect, store, or share the network data that the Application processes.

Summary

• The Company does not collect any user information through the VPN.

• All network data (configurations, rules, server details, connection logs and traffic statistics) is processed and stored only on Your Device and is managed by You.

• AI features use a model that runs locally on Your Device. Nothing You give the AI is uploaded.

• No account or registration is required. The Application contains no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.

• The Company does not sell, rent, or share Your data with any third party.

Definitions

You means the individual using the Application.

Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") refers to the Rulane: VPN & Network Tools team.

Application or Service refers to the Rulane: VPN & Network Tools app, including its VPN (Network Extension) component.

Device means the iPhone, iPad or other device on which You use the Application.

Network Data means the proxy configurations, rule sets, server addresses and credentials that You enter or import, and the connection records, request logs, DNS lookups and traffic statistics that the Application generates on Your Device while the VPN is running.

Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

VPN Functionality

How the VPN works

The Application uses Apple's Network Extension framework to create a VPN configuration and a local packet tunnel on Your Device. The tunnel runs on Your Device and routes Your network traffic according to the proxy configurations, rules and servers that You import or create yourself. The Company does not provide or operate any VPN or proxy servers, and none of Your traffic passes through servers operated by the Company.

What user information does the Application collect using the VPN?

None. The Company does not collect any user information through the VPN. To route connections and show logs, the tunnel has to handle Network Data on Your Device, such as destination domain names and IP addresses, ports, DNS queries, connection times and traffic volume. This Network Data stays on Your Device and is never transmitted to the Company. The Application does not record or store the content of Your connections.

For what purposes is this information processed?

Network Data is processed on Your Device only to provide the features You choose to use:

• Routing Your traffic through the proxy servers and rules You have configured.

• Showing connection and request logs and traffic statistics in the Log Analyzer, so You can inspect and troubleshoot Your own network.

• Running the network utilities You start yourself.

• Letting the on-device AI model explain Your logs or configurations when You ask it to.

Network Data is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, sale, or any other purpose.

Will the data be shared with any third parties? Where is it stored?

No. The Company does not share, sell, rent, or disclose Network Data to any third party, because the Company never receives it. Network Data is stored only on Your Device, inside the Application's sandboxed storage on iOS. It is not uploaded to, synced with, or backed up on any server operated by the Company.

When You connect through a proxy server that You have configured, Your traffic is sent to that server, as with any proxy. That server is chosen by You and run by You or its own operator, not by the Company, and its operator's privacy policy applies to the traffic it handles.

On-Device AI Features

The AI features of the Application are powered by a model that runs locally on Your Device. The logs, configurations, questions and other content You give the AI are processed on Your Device only. They are not sent to the Company or to any third-party AI service, and they are not used to train any model. AI results are kept on Your Device until You delete them.

You Control Your Data

Because all Network Data and AI content stay on Your Device, You manage them directly:

• Edit or delete configurations, rules and servers at any time in the Application.

• Clear connection and request logs at any time in the Application.

• Turn the VPN off in the Application or in iOS Settings, and remove the Application's VPN configuration in iOS Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.

• Delete the Application to remove all of its data from Your Device.

Information We Do Not Collect

The Application does not require an account. We do not collect Your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, advertising identifier, or browsing history, and the Application does not track You across other companies' apps or websites.

If You have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide Us with anonymized crash reports and usage statistics. This sharing is controlled by Apple and by Your settings, and does not include Network Data.

Purchases

If the Application offers subscriptions or in-app purchases, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store Your payment card details.

Information You Send Us

If You contact Us by email, We receive Your email address and the contents of Your message. We use them only to respond to Your request, and We keep them only as long as needed to do so. We do not share them with third parties except where required by law. You can ask Us to delete this correspondence at any time.

Disclosure Required by Law

We may disclose the limited information We hold, such as support emails, if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities. Because We do not collect Network Data or AI content, We have none to disclose.

Security

Network Data and AI content are kept inside the Application's sandboxed storage and are protected by the security features of iOS. Please keep Your Device protected with a passcode, because anyone with access to Your unlocked Device may be able to view data stored in the Application.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You believe Your child has sent Us Personal Data, please contact Us and We will delete it.

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
